Online RN to BSN Program Welcomes New Nursing Advisors

NORCROSS, GA. - Madison School of Healthcare at Ashworth College recently added two new Nursing Advisors in support of its growing RN to BSN online program.

April Durham brings nearly 20 years of nursing experience and a specialization in education to her new role as Nursing Advisor. She is a Registered Nurse who holds a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Walden University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University, and an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Wytheville Community College. She hails from western Virginia where she has gained experience in nursing education, long-term care, outpatient surgery, mental health, pediatrics, and more.

Dr. Wanda Fletcher brings nearly 25 years of nursing experience and a specialization in administration to her new role as Nursing Advisor. She is a Registered Nurse who holds a Doctor of Health Administration from University of Phoenix, a Master of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from King College, and an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Southwest Virginia Community College. She also hails from western Virginia but has worked in a variety of locations and gained experience in nursing education, critical care, cardiovascular care, orthopedics, long-term care, telemetry, surgery, and more.

The RN to BSN online program launched in January 2016 and celebrated its first graduates during the 2018 Commencement Ceremony held in August.

Both advisors will provide academic advising and coaching to help facilitate course progression for Madison School of Healthcare nursing students.
